PROFESSIONAL RESIDENCY
In the spring of 2019, I began working with Franklin's Charge, a non-profit founded to reclaim Civil War battlefield land in Williamson County, Tennessee. To record the first fifteen years of the organizations trials and successes, the Tennessee National Civil War Heritage Area published The Franklin's Charge Story in November 2019.
The Franklin's Charge Story is also mentioned here MTSU's Center for Historic Preservation's newsletter, Common Bond. |
During the spring 2020 semester of my residency, I assisted David Currey of Encore Interpretive Design on his current projects. On February 22, 2020, The National Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, was officially opened. Joining David's team at the latter stage of this project gave me an opportunity to research, write, and edit materials for museum panels and a mobile app, as well as be present for the final push before the center's grand opening.
