COLBI LAYNE W. HOGAN
public historian. educator. preservationist.
Colbi Layne Hogan earned her Ph.D. in Public History from Middle Tennessee State University in August 2021. Experiences working as a secondary education teacher and at the MTSU Center for Historic Preservation have prepared Hogan well to meet the needs of communities and organizations she hopes to serve as a public historian.
Hogan's research interests include: historic preservation, adaptive reuse, local history, and education. Her dissertation research focuses on civilian displacement and how it is interpreted in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Hogan plans to work in the field of historic preservation and make an eventual return to teaching in Middle Tennessee. CONTACT
